Going from reading it junior year of high school to seeing the movie tonight, It surprised me how much came flooding back. The fact that I still sympathize with the same characters proves how much my personality hasn’t changed. The movie was beautiful in every sense. I’m really hard on people who are shallow. I never understand why people can’t just see the beauty in everything and everyone. But… even though I’m not a stickler on looks, I am about singing. Every guy I can ever remember being attracted to, is a good singer (or the best around). Maybe it’s just what I look for in a partner. But how can I blame people for having opinions like that about looks, when I’m just as bad about voice.
Maybe we all just need to let go of standards and expectations.
